Base capital and accounts

The Foundation’s base capital was endowed to the Foundation by Villum Kann Rasmussen on the establishment of the Foundation in 1981. This base capital has been augmented by several additional endowments from the VILLUM FOUNDATION.

The capital must be placed in treasury notes, treasury bonds, quoted shares, loans to creditworthy enterprises, deposits in banks or other sound securities.

The accounts are audited by a state-authorised public accountant who stands for re-election each year. The auditor cannot also serve as auditor of VKR Holding or its affiliates.
