Establishment of the Employee Foundation
To tie in with the VKR Group’s 50th anniversary, the VILLUM FOUNDATION established the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group. On its creation, the Employee Foundation was endowed with DKK 10 million in capital. Since then, the Employee Foundation has received funds from the VILLUM FOUNDATION to maintain its capital base; most recently in 2009 an endowment of DKK 100 million.
The object of the Foundation was for it to make donations – from the current net yield on its capital – for the benefit of present and former employees of the VKR Group in Denmark and abroad, especially in connection with accidents and illnesses, educational support for the children of employees or purchases for the benefit of groups of employees.
